Alexis Tae

My good friend, the Spanish legend Ramón Nomar, told me that Alexis Tae was the queen of anal. At the time I'd rented a beautiful villa in Los Angeles, and Ramón offered to be behind the camera and film me. So I reached out to Alexis and asked if she'd be interested. She said yes right away, and she came over.

And let me tell you, the man was right. She truly is one of the queens of anal. We shot an incredible scene together, and the connection between us was so good that it didn't end there. We crossed paths again on professional shoots for different studios, and later she came back to my own apartment for more.

Alexis Tae (also credited as Alexia Tae) is an American adult performer and director, born October 20, 1997, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is of mixed heritage. Before entering the industry she worked restaurant jobs, and she began filming in January 2019, at around 21.

She rose quickly. By 2021 she was an AVN nominee for Best New Starlet, and she has since been nominated for AVN Female Performer of the Year several times (2022, 2023 and 2024), as well as for XBIZ and XRCO Female Performer of the Year. She is especially known for anal, earning repeated AVN Best Anal Sex Scene nominations and XRCO "Awesome Analist" nods.

With more than 600 credited scenes, she worked for a remarkable range of studios. These included glamour brands such as MetArt, Playboy Plus, Penthouse and Twistys, and the Vixen Media Group labels Vixen, Blacked and Deeper. She also shot for Jules Jordan, Evil Angel, New Sensations, Digital Desire, the ATK sites, Nubiles, Tiny 4K, Holed and VR studios such as BadoinkVR and VR CosplayX. She was CherryPimps Cherry of the Month and appeared in Playboy in January 2023.

Her wins include the 2022 AVN Award for Best Virtual Reality Sex Scene (Star Wars The Mandalorian: Ahsoka Tano XXX Parody, with Nathan Bronson), the 2024 XBIZ Award for Best Sex Scene in a Feature Movie (Climax 3) and the 2024 Pornhub Award for Top Blowjob Performer.

In total IAFD lists around 50 award nominations for her between 2020 and 2026. She shot what she called her "last ever" porn scene in early 2024; it was released in January 2025, and Babepedia lists her as retired from 2025. At that point she had close to half a million Instagram followers.

Getting started. In a 2023 XBIZ profile, Tae said she had been waitressing in Pittsburgh and "didn't really know what I wanted to do". She answered a "Looking for Models" ad on Craigslist that led to a cam studio, but she thought the studio's cut was terrible. While researching how to cam on her own, she found a list of adult agents online. She emailed them in November 2018, and several replied almost at once. She had never done any other sex work and says she still has never been to a strip club; she is more a fan of written erotica than of porn. She credits her first agent, John at East Coast Talent, with teaching her the business, and later joined Spiegler. She was a competitive runner and compares being on set to a race: "You hit your stride."

Her first shoots, in January 2019, were a girl/girl scene and a solo. About six months later she shot her first anal scene, for True Anal. The response online, she said, turned her into an "anal queen". In early 2020 a new California labour law required performers to incorporate as businesses, and by the time she had done so, COVID-19 had shut down production. She spent the shutdown self-producing content "five times a day", licensed her home-made scenes to Adult Time, and learned editing, backups and distribution from two close friends she collaborated with.

On race in the industry. Tae, who is mixed-race and Black, told XBIZ that some early titles she saw were "openly racist". She said she still sometimes loses bookings when a Black co-star cancels, because studios will not substitute a white performer. She argued that audiences are "conditioned" by what studios choose to shoot, and pointed out that some of the highest-paid creators she knows are Black women.

By 2023 she had shifted towards feature roles and mostly girl/girl work, including a chef-themed feature for Dorcel and a James Avalon film for Adam & Eve with Kenna James, Kylie Rocket and Seth Gamble. She also praised directors Casey Calvert, Ricky Greenwood and Jackie St. James. She said her focus had become "quality now, not quantity", with more time for travel, her cats and dating.
