Career. She worked for many of the biggest studios, including Evil Angel (Anal Savages, All About Ass, Emma Hix + Adria Rae: Young Anal 3-Way), Wicked Pictures (Fashionistas), Girlsway, Brazzers, Reality Kings, Tushy, Team Skeet, New Sensations, Jules Jordan, Marc Dorcel (Sucre et Sale) and Axel Braun (Dirty Blondes 3), and she was an early virtual-reality regular with WankzVR. A 2019 press release announcing her first XBIZ nomination said she left a waitressing job soon after high school and moved to Southern California in 2016, where studios noticed her within weeks. That first XBIZ nomination was for Best Sex Scene – All-Sex, with Seth Gamble, in Axel Braun's Dirty Blondes 3 (Wicked Pictures). The release also described her as a gymnast, a pianist and an animal lover with three cats and a dog.

In her own words. In a November 2019 interview, when she was 21, Hix called herself "fresh Canadian bacon" and "a very socially awkward person" who nonetheless makes a great interview. She said a male performer helped her into the industry: she flew to Los Angeles to try it out for a month and met her agent through him. What she enjoyed most, she said, was being able to express herself on camera "with no one judging", and she credited her bubbly, energetic personality with helping on set. She described a typical shoot day as an hour in the make-up chair, meeting the director and co-star, going over yeses and noes, then photos followed by video, and said porn is far more "go, go, go" than her private life: "You don't set a timer when you want to swap positions." She named Jill Kassidy, Zac Wild and Adriana Chechik as favourite co-stars, said she was usually recognised at airports, and said that if she were not performing she would be studying psychology, as she hoped to become a therapist or counsellor and to have a family. On the Porn Director's Podcast that January she described watching films early and feeling destined for the business.

Speaking out. In a 2023 conversation with Holly Randall she discussed the death of her best friend August Ames, and the boundary violations she said she had experienced on a Jimmy Lifestyles set, explaining that speaking out had helped her and could push the industry toward better treatment of performers. She returned to the Canadian podcast Pillow Talk in March 2025, co-hosting an episode with Luna Star.
